BUILD RESILIENCE

We provide a safe and trusting environment where people can tell the story of their refugee journey. We treat each person as an individual and our beneficiaries tell us that they appreciate the space to rest, make new friends and to feel valued.
We offer practical assistance to accompany people to court hearings, immigration appointments and to medical facilities. We introduce people to the local organisations that provide friendship, social interaction and language learning support. We also act as a point of referral to GP, counselling and specialist services for people with mental health needs.
‘I think of this long time that I have been without support, if Justice First wasn’t there, I wouldn’t know what would have happened to me. I don’t think I could have survived until now. They help me with my case and make me feel calm when I go there….The biggest thing is that I didn’t come here for a visit or to enjoy the weather. I have a case and if I wasn’t afraid to go back, there would be no reason for me to stay here this long time…At Justice First I know that I am with people who are willing to help me and if anything happened to me, they will be by my side’
